8 page modular high speed thermal platesetter. The PlateRite 8600 brings enhanced productivity and increased flexibility to Screen's already wide range of Computer to Plate output engine range. An interesting feature is that productivity can be field upgraded as a customer’s workload grows. Screen users have always been able to upgrade their automation but now customers can start with a low productivity ‘E’ model and move up to a fully automated ‘S’ model with same base unit. The PlateRite 8600Z features ultra high resolution of 4000 dpi which is perfect for security and lenticular printing.
A feature that we have introduced in response to customer requests is the ability to handle smaller plate sizes as a factory option. Many of our CTP devices have been installed in mixed press environments and having one machine that can also cover a wide range of presses is obviously an attractive option. All of these machines will support the growing range of processless plates as standard; Plates from leading manufacturers have been successfully tested.
