Screen has developed new VLF systems to complement the new larger format presses arriving on the market (such as the KBA 205, the MAN Roland 900XXL and Lithoman IV). Their format and high productivity make them ideal for sheet-fed and web offset presses within commercial, magazine, book and packaging companies. In addition, the ability to image two B1 plates simultaneously on these large-format devices effectively makes them the fastest B1 platesetters in the world and ideal to support multi-colour perfecting presses. A full set of B1 punched plates can be produced for a 12-unit press in just 10 minutes!
All the PlateRite Ultima’s feature next-generation GLVTM imaging technology that utilises a 512/1024 channel imaging head and proven laser control technology to produce highly reliable halftone dot quality.

With large format plates, inline punching is particularly important for press accuracy and Screen is unique in offering this feature as a standard on its VLF machines. Inline punching has been proven to save hundreds of hours a year on press.
