Multi-layer and lenticular printing shows printer flexibility at Fespa 2014
Screen Europe will showcase the versatility of the latest addition to its wide-format Truepress Jet range at FESPA 2014 (Hall B2, Stand 171, 20-23 May, Messe Munich). The innovative Truepress JetW3200UV flat-bed printer was unveiled at Fespa last year and visitors to the stand this year will not only see it printing a variety of jobs but will also see high speed lenticular and multi-layer applications, demonstrating the advanced drop control of this printer.
A joint development between Screen and its subsidiary company Inca Digital, the six colour + white Truepress Jet W3200UV was developed as a cost-effective solution for PSPs looking to upgrade from legacy high-quality, low-speed printers to a new-generation printer that combines high-quality with high productivity. Continuous high speed production up to 85sqm/hr is ensured by the printer’s sophisticated nozzle mapping, ink mist extraction system and automatic cleaning station technologies.
With the ability to print onto a wide range of rigid and flexible media up to 3.2 x 1.6m in size and up to a maximum 50mm thickness, the Truepress Jet W3200UV meets the multiple demands of the POS, signage and décor markets today. Using Screen’s vibrant Truepress inks, including high-opacity white, light cyan and light magenta, the Truepress Jet W3200UV delivers high-definition, wide-colour gamut print quality and because the ink is very flexible and stretchable - up to 200% of its original length - it will not chip or break when cut or bent.
The flexibility to produce high added-value applications such as lenticular and multi-layer print at commercially attractive speeds makes the Truepress Jet W3200UV the most versatile in its class. The multi-layer function enables sophisticated front/back overprinting up to eight layers, to produce quality backlit and variable day/night graphics.
“Screen’s Truepress Jet range of wide-format printers feature precision inkjet imaging and engineering to give the market the best combination of quality, productivity and reliability,” says Brian Filler, President, Screen Europe. “Fespa offers the perfect opportunity for Screen to demonstrate the considerable versatility that the innovative W3200UV offers for the production of backlit graphics, wide-format posters, point-of-purchase displays and signage, while delivering a good return on investment.”
