SCREEN and Nilpeter will introduce an innovative in-line solution to meet the increasing demand in integrated digital printing and embellishment with stable and high-quality combination printing.
The new digital integrated solution combines SCREENS’s new SAI technology with Nilpeter’s state-of-the-art FA-Line flexo platform. The SAI S unit offers up to 7 digital colours, enabling expanded gamut along with high performance white printing.
Integrated with Nilpeter’s platform-based FA-Line and embellishment solutions, the in-line solution facilitates an efficient production of value-added labels.
DIGITAL PRIMER PROTOTYPE
Witness the prototype development of an in-line inkjet digital primer for its flagship label printing press, the Truepress L350UV SAI which will be showcase as a world premier during Labelexpo 2023. This groundbreaking feature addresses one of the biggest challenges in UV inkjet digital printing – poor ink adhesion on certain substrates.
SCREEN’s cutting-edge development incorporates an in-line digital primer directly inside its Truepress L350UV SAI digital printing press. This innovative solution not only saves time and resources but also could deliver superior ink adhesion on a wide range of substrates and better print quality that enhance visual appeal and brand impact.

PAPER PACKAGING
One rapidly growing trend is the reduction of plastic material used in packaging and its replacement for a paper-based equivalent as consumers perceive paper-based packaging as a more environmentally friendly and easy-to-recycle format for the products they buy.
In response to these market trends, SCREEN GA is moving forward with product planning for its Truepress PAC 520P – a high-speed, water-based inkjet digital press for paper-based packaging substrates with a much lower environmental impact than conventional printing processes. This is due to a drastic reduction in energy and material waste. The Truepress PAC 520P utilises newly developed proprietary water-based pigment inks that comply with appropriate food-safety regulations. The system is expected to provide both outstanding print quality and safety while maintaining exceptional throughput.
