Labels and packaging printer, Etimark AG, located in Grabs, Switzerland, has installed a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM press with Equios Universal Workflow. The investment was made to serve an increasing demand for digital print from its customers.
“Since installing the press we can concentrate more intensively on the ever-increasing number of customers requiring short runs,” says Marco Schulz, CFO, CIO of Etimark. “We’re seeing more and more variety in print jobs whilst customers also want shorter delivery times. The Truepress Jet L350UV+LM press helps us to exceed those client expectations.”
The second-generation family business prints labels for the food and beverage industries as well as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and logistics labels. As such, print quality was a critical factor in their press selection. The Screen L350UV+LM with support from Equios software, delivers outstanding quality, whether for the small fonts essential for food packaging labels, or for colour-matching, vital for cosmetic products.
Etimark has also had a keen eye on the LM inks for food packaging Screen introduced for sole use on the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+LM press. “We had previous experience with the L350UV press, and since we wanted to digitally print primary packaging for yoghurt lids in short runs, the change to the new L350UV+LM press was essential,” says Schulz. “We obtained the necessary certification and approval from the SQTS for our aluminium and PET lids.
“This speaks volumes for the quality of the technology, which is exactly why we invested in Screen to begin with. The L350UV+LM was chosen because of our favourable experience with the Truepress L350UV press which confirmed Screen’s reputation in the market for a robust, quality product. Crucially, our print tests also showed that Screen delivers outstanding print quality. Food conformity is becoming increasingly challenging, so it was necessary to invest in a true Low-Migration-Press.”
Etimark installed the Truepress Jet L350UV+LM in March, following detailed planning of the process. “Perfectly organized,” comments Schulz. “From the unloading of the truck, to the press going live and the subsequent training, specialists from Screen were on site making it all happen efficiently and on-schedule. It’s everything we have come to expect from Screen!”
