Full-service German print shop puts newest Screen label printer at centre of strategy to boost its position in expanding label print market.
BAD KREUZNACH/AMSTELVEEN – German print company O.D.D. Print + Medien has purchased a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ LM system to strengthen its position as a label and folding box printing specialist for the pharma, food, and other industries. The innovative Screen label printer will make O.D.D. more flexible and efficient in managing complex print jobs. It also provides the low migration quality standards required for pharma and food.
“The Truepress Jet L350UV+ LM allows us to finish more print runs in a shorter time, ensuring we can respond to our customers’ growing demand for quick and small print runs”, says Alexander Haßinger, Managing Partner and Technical Manager at O.D.D.
O.D.D. is a full-service printing company with a long-standing strategy of investing in future-proof innovative technology. The sophisticated Truepress Jet L350UV+ LM fits with this approach. “It will underline our proven track record in providing specialized printing services to customers in the fast-growing German label printing market”, Haßinger points out. “The Truepress Jet L350 LM meets our quality standards – it delivers with the speed of flexo printers, while offering the ease of use of digital printing,” he adds.
Commitment to sustainability
Another perk of the L350 is that it supports O.D.D.’s commitment to sustainability. “By enabling tailored print runs and last-minute delivery of the right number of consistently high-quality labels, this machine helps us save materials and energy,” he says.
Steven Polland, who’s responsible for Screen’s label and packaging business in Germany, says he’s very proud that “yet another printer from the label industry has chosen Screen – with its unique low-migration technology – as our partner for the future.” This followed intensive discussions and many tests between the partners.
“We at Screen are convinced we can support O.D.D. not only with our stable, user-friendly and tried-and-tested technology, but also with our many years of expertise in inkjet printing and colour management. We look forward to helping O.D.D. to achieve its goals and create a successful future together.”
Based in Bad Kreuznach, a city about 80km west of Frankfurt, O.D.D. started in 1988 with a team of 10 employees. It has since grown to a full-service company with a staff of more than 150, and it continues to expand.
