Poligrafia Janusz Nowak Enters Digital Book Printing with Truepress JET 520HD Mono Installation

Poligrafia Janusz Nowak has installed its first SCREEN Truepress JET 520HD Mono to expand into digital book printing, combining offset expertise with new digital capabilities to meet evolving customer demands and shorter run lengths.

Wysogotowo, Poland – Poligrafia Janusz Nowak has made a strategic investment in its first digital inkjet printing press, the SCREEN Truepress JET 520HD Mono, marking the company’s entry into the digital book printing market.

Established in 1990, this family-owned sheet-fed offset printing business based in Poland specialises in high-quality hardcover and softcover book production. With 70% of its clientele based internationally, primarily in Western Europe, and is recognised for its exceptional craftsmanship and reliable service.

Complementing Offset Book Printing with Digital Inkjet

Recognising an industry shift toward shorter print runs, Poligrafia Janusz Nowak identified a growing demand for efficient, high-quality digital printing solutions. “We saw shorter runs increasingly move to companies using digital printing, which meant we risked losing a critical segment of our customer base if we didn’t adapt,” explained Mikołaj Nowak of Poligrafia Janusz Nowak. “Investing in digital technology became essential for our continued growth.”

When surveying potential digital printing suppliers as they moved into this new market, SCREEN’s longstanding reputation in Poland as a reliable, customer-oriented digital inkjet provider significantly influenced their choice. “For our first step into digital printing, we needed a stable partner offering not just a quality printing solution, but book printing expertise and exceptional support,” noted Nowak. “Unlike some larger companies, SCREEN offers personalised attention and a deep understanding of how to best deploy digital printing technology for book printing.

The Truepress JET 520HD Mono brings Poligrafia Janusz Nowak their versatility and flexibility of digital printing for on-demand short run book printing, complementing their existing offset printing presses to cost-effectively manage book printing productions of any size. By introducing digital printing technology into their existing workflows, their team is beginning to explore entirely new market opportunities including personalised or book-of-one productions due to   SCREEN’s proprietary workflow management software, EQUIOS, making variable data printing (VDP) accessible and highly efficient.

Digital Book Printing for Long-Term Success

Initially investing in one SCREEN inkjet press, Poligrafia Janusz Nowak views this investment as an initial step into digital printing to understand how best to apply this new solution into their existing book production workflows before continuing to explore to explore the full capabilities of digital inkjet for high-quality, full-colour book production.

“Moving into digital printing is a natural progression for a mid-sized company like ours,” continued Nowak. “It complements our existing offset operations perfectly, allowing us greater flexibility and efficiency, while enabling us to respond swiftly to market demands for smaller, more customised print runs while maintaining the same print quality. It supports out long-term goals to offer comprehensive solutions for all types of book printing jobs, positioning ourselves for future growth.”
